SWBF2 Crashes Upon Launching (Unable to Play)
I have been attempting to play some SWBF2 for a couple days now as and have not played the game in over a year with approximately 1 hour play time, sad I know!
I am running a Windows 7 system with my drivers & windows updated (Ryzen 1700 & RX-580 w/ 16GB RAM) The last time I played was on my older rig running Win7 on an FX-9590 CPU with an RX 460 4GB GPU & 16GB RAM.**
When I attempt to launch SWBF2, the game appears to launch but when the game windows begins to load (shows only black window) then the game "crashes" and I am back at the Origin client/PC desktop and obviously the game did not load.
I have done ALL the recommended troubleshooting steps (Clean boot, flushDNS, disable AV etc etc) to NO avail. I can play other Origin games without issues and no problems running any of my non-Origin games (steam, uplay, wargaming etc). I even uninstalled/reinstalled the game and still unable to play.

**note: I still have this system setup, so I will be testing to see if I am able to get SWBF2 to launch from that system or not.
Not sure what else to try short of reinstalling Origin (and all my Origin games?). TIA!
@ggibb65 I managed to do option 2 now. There is an easier way to get into safe mode. Just press "Shift" while you click on "Restart". Unfortunately option 2 still didn't work. I got the following message "Not enough memory resources are available to process this command." I googled and found that this is a bug in the 1803 release. I installed the 1809 release and this fixed the Battlefront 2 issue. Now the game starts with DirectX 12 disabled and I didn't get any crashes during several maps I played.
