Swbf2 darth sidious

  • Darth sidious has no defence as he had in swbf1.

This is a mistake and not in keeping with the film, it also makes him a easy target in open areas by all gun character's.

NO DEFENCE AND NO LIGHTSABRE .

It is ridiculous the emperor can not defend himself, even darth vader could deflect blaster fire with his hand in the film.

I would like to see emperor defence restored and a light sabre these could easily be added as star cards, it is long overdue.

They have made Palpatine into a lightning character more than a lightsaber character. His extremely high manoeuvrability is unique on the battlefield, combined with the high jumps makes him a hard target to hit. I would suggest to dodge and jump the whole time you play as him. Makes it harder for enemies to hit him.

I agree that it would be nice to see him having a lightsaber, but that would mean a lot of development time spent on that (making swing animations, how does he walk with lightsaber. How does the lightning gets activated?). In conclusion, I think it is fine. Let's hope that Dooku gets a half-half lightsaber and lightning powers. That would be awesome!

  • I can agree that a block like SWBF1 would be nice. You could easily turn his standard attack into permanently two handed attacks and add a block I would have thought. That is however remembering that on SWBF1 his dash was a force move that had a fair amount of  recharge time. He is too manoeuvrable in SWBF2 to just plainly add a block. To ensure he is not like crazy overpowered with his block and superior manoeuverability his blocking could drain his stamina as standard but also limit his forward dash to a dodge if his stamina becomes depleted. Alternatively his blocks could drain a large amount of stamina in order to encourage use of his manoeuvrability first and foremost with blocking only used as a very last resort.

Adding a lightsaber would be pretty awesome sacrificing Palpatines melee attack in order to draw it, turning him solely into a saber wielder leaving only dark aura as a usable force power until the user switches back.
