SWBF2 Improper format/massive bug

I recently bought Star Wars Battlefront 2 and opened it for the first time through Steam. As I get in, I can't click anything to even see my mouse. If I click I can see the mouse come up for a split second then disappear. The menu that's shown is Identical to what it looks like on Xbox and even shows the Xbox buttons on the screen. When I press anything, those buttons stutter and show the PC controls that instantly revert back to displaying the Xbox buttons. The only thing I can do is press ESC and SPACE to leave. Other than that, I can't do a thing. It's like it's stuck in the middle of two different platforms when I want it to be PC. It's completely unusable, let alone playable.
