So I have the epic games version of BF2 and I recently was in the mood to play it but origin is gone and now EA app exists so I switched to that and the game doesn't start up at all. I can see it in my task manager but it just sits there and doesn't start up. I've tried finding solutions to this online and so far I've been unsuccessful. I tried a clean boot, uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting pc, and updating drivers. Is there another solution I can do?
I followed all the steps in the post you linked and my game still doesn't start up. Also I made sure anything concerning Origin was uninstalled. It still just sits in task manager refusing to start up.
Make sure you have no overlays running (in any software) and attach a DXDIAG report.
I disabled discord, EA app, and Geforce overlays as well while trying to start it up, it still didn't work. I attached a dxdiag below btw.

For troubleshooting disable your on-board graphics.
The are also several errors showing at the bottom of the DXDIAG you may want to check out.
