Tanks shouldn’t be aloud to take over points

I believe the tanks are well balanced into the game, but my problem with them is that they can get annoying when contesting a zone in Capital Supremacy. You either have to get a tank or a large group to take the opposing tank out. But the thing is by the time you get the tank and move towards the zone, they most likely have taken it and if you get a group, you will have to focus a good portion of your team and the enemy team can take an unguarded zone.
