That message box in that picture sure is confusing, since 50 hasn't been the max rank for years now. Nonetheless...
While there may have been a patch to resolve the issue a while back, it's more likely that you either need to clear your cache or just keep playing for the award to show (as odd as that sounds). Also, check for crates - some awards are given in crates.
