Hi, thanks for that.

I actually managed to fix it by rolling back the Intel Graphics Driver. I use a laptop with a 970m and a i7 6700HQ, and the issue started after I updated the Intel Graphics Driver (not the nvidia driver).
The driver I was using that was causing the issue was the 26.20.100.7212. I downloaded from Intel's website the older 15.40.14.4352 and the game launched as usual.

Have you tried any method to fix the issue? Such an issue usually can be fixed by either repairing the game or reinstalling it. Both options are accessible from within Origin AFAIK.
But indeed someone from EA would be better to guide you through such methods. Care to lend a hand @EA_Atic ? I'm not very good with guiding through these types of troubleshooting

  Hi, I actually did both, as well as using CCleaner to clean old files in the computer. Also reinstalled the GPU driver, and tried booting in safe mode. None of those things worked. Thanks anyway!

    Hi, I also experienced this issue. If you read french and if you want the full story, it's there
    To make it short (sorry if OS texts aren't the real ones)
    > Win + R to open the console
    > Enter 'msconfig'
    > Select 'Services' tab
    > Select "Hide Microsoft services"
    > Disable all services
    > Restart your computer
    > SWBF2 should work - it worked for me.
    For the little story, I re-enabled all services one by one to discover the guilty one. I finally reactivate all of them and the game was still working 🙂
