core i7 / nvidia - nvidia display adapter crashing/failing after a while of gameplay - in addition to other posts about stuttery cut scenes.. now experience horrendous load times
*in queue for chat support :P
@c2a2f2b7f1ca3466 Any luck? Did support help ya at all?

My relevant spec details: windows 7x64 - nvidia 840m - intel core i7 / Origin Access
Ran through a couple fixes with support until it requires reboot. I started the game again - load times from clicking play, to intro video starting 35-48 seconds (still seems very long), but it was hitting 2-5 minute load times, just getting worse with each load...
The first scene of campaign is still stuttering, it's like a bad buffer video that buffers 2 seconds from # seconds earlier audio, every few seconds.. does that make sense? haha - video is the same stutter....
below are the two steps they had me do (this hasn't resolved the issue for me yet):
First fix attempt:
Move the "STAR WARS Battlefront II" folder from "C:\Users\UserName\Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II", to the desktop.
Second fix attempt:
1.Completely log out and close down Origin
2.Hold down the Windows key and R
3.Type in "%ProgramData%" (without quotes) and click OK
4.Now open the Origin folder.
5.Delete all the files and folders in the Origin folder, except for LocalContent (do not delete this one)
6.Hold down the Windows key and R
7.Type in "%AppData%" (without quotes) and click OK
8.This will take you to a Roaming folder, which is located inside of AppData. Delete the Origin folder
9.Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window
10.Open the Local folder here
11.Delete the Origin folder listed here
12.Restart your PC and log back into OriginAs I said above - no improvements really other than load time decrease, still have the video audio stuttering and overall laggy-like gameplay. Going to go watch netflix and will contact support again later saturday ....

The only time the game crashes on me is when I enable DX12

@Jellowcanoo no solutions that worked yet, i am thinking about trying a fix that was listed for the beta via a redit thread i found, but it's windows 7 specific - weird, seems my previous posted reply - was removed..
anyway - will try support again later -
A little later, I disabled Ambient Occlusion in game Video settings (at bottom), I don't think my 840m even handles that :P - I also lowered anti aliasing too, might shut it off - and swapped quality to performance in NVIDIA control panel.. Game became a lot more playable - I am finally at the point of having watched the campaign intro so many times - it's the game - bad audio synching, it's like watching a classic kung fu movie with the time delayed voices :P
Load times are still sparatic, the highest click start campaign to intro scene was 78 seconds, lowest 28 seconds ..
Next steps.. sleep now, and contact support again tomorrow, on a different device, so i don't have to worry about system reboots on the device i am playing game on.

Try to extend virtual memory (pagefile)

Might that be helpful? I have 16GB RAM and a AMD R9 290X MSI Lightning with 4 GB dedicated RAM. I think that will be a failure with the AMD Radeon driver. Am I able to extend the GPU RAM as well or do you think the problem will be the normal PC RAM.

Hi all, just hanging aroung with EA support. The technical guys just analized my DirectX Diag Report and they think, that the problem will be my GPU. The suggest a reinstallation of my GPU (so deinstall and install).
I will try and give you feedback

@Jellowcanoo I am most likely going to just wait for the regular game release - the pure fact is, only this game is having problems. I play at least 4 other games all via different game companies, no problems... only problems is with this game.. hopefully they figure it out before launch, otherwise it would be like visiting a used car dealership lol
other than disabling Ambient Occlusion in game Video settings (at bottom), and reducing anti-aliasing and a couple other things mentioned in the link to post in this thread below.. - that didn't fix anything, just helped a little bit - https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/The-game-will-freeze-and-crash/td-p/6411563

I solved my problem of freezing and crashing by modifying my virtual memory assigned to Windows. It was set to a specified size, changing to have this file managed by windows my freezes and crashes disappeared
