I solved my problem of freezing and crashing by modifying my virtual memory assigned to Windows. It was set to a specified size, changing to have this file managed by windows my freezes and crashes disappeared
make sure to post your OS/ Vid Card - with a solution that way other's can find it specific to them too :D wish it worked for me as i had already done that too, you are supposed to increase pf 1.5 x - check out for the max and set max and min the same, usually it's 1.5x your actual ram/memory so 8k would be 12k (example)... (*EDIT - Update after reading more about pagefile 🙂 the 1.5x is more for older systems, check out pagefile educational links at bottom of this post)
Grats and wish mine worked too :P nvidia 840m - win 7 x64, although the trial is running at x32. After everything i have gone through so far, I am not crashing now, but still choppy play like a bad buffering video --
67 seconds from clicking start game in origin to game starting first vid intro
88 seconds from clicking start campaign to first vid scene starting
after playing 15 minutes - 165 seconds after clicking quit (to main screen) to reaching main screen - all load time..
side note - i think the lvl 3 difficulty should be level 2, and the level 3 difficulty should be 2x harder 😉
been about 6 months since i did a format and fresh OS install.. maybe i will do that to pass some time, while waiting to see if the early release is better than the trial release :S
down to 2 hours of play time left spent about 5 hours just troubleshooting and support stuff :S
may the force be with you 😉
*Edit - added pagefile info links:
