I did the reinstall as well, and I'm having the exact same issue again. game is flaweless, into a black screen, w/ sound in the background, followed by a crash to desktop. No errors.
I uninstalled the trial and hid it on origin, reinstall was from the preload deluxe edition 1.5 hour from the launch. aka launch files.
I just want to play, but at this point an $80 paper weight would have been more useful, and less of a headache I've wasted hours troubleshooting this problem. Since the 11th i've only been able to get a hold of 1 CSR for EA... * 1. Hot garbage, EA is going to ruin this game.
That sucks, the only other thing i did was dns flush and set both origin and the game to run as admin.
To run as admin forever and not right click it each time;
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin\Origin.exe right click, properties, compatibility tab, run as admin (select box at bottom)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\STAR WARS Battlefront II\starwarsbattlefrontii.exe right click, properties, compatibility tab, run as admin (select box at bottom)
flush dns and other misc. instructions are all listed via;

25 more minutes until I go try campaign again, haven't since trial mode 10 hours ago haha, let me know if you figure something out ^_^ I will be poking around forums and here on and off for a while 🙂

Hope it works for you, I doubt it will. Re-install and repair are just time wasters CSR's with no clue are tossing out.
@Glam_Foe_Hammer 6 minutes left and I get to find out 🙂 If you read through this thread I already did a fresh OS install too, but I did that because it's been a while and I wanted too anyway 🙂
Clicking play now, post back in 2 minutes or 30 😉

Assuming you're in and playing jealous. Im just over waiting for the phone call option to kick back in... .been in live chat que for 4 hours.... great customer service. Debating what to spend my refund money on.
Hah, yeah - no crashes yet, since trial though i have only been playing first few missions of campaign, I am tweaking settings trying to figure out what will stop using all my ram :P
So far, the biggest decrease in ram usage came from dropping resolution scale to 90%, I pushed it down further to 80% but didn't see much additional difference. I noticed about a 600MB difference by lowering resolution scale to 90% in vid settings though.
I am runnin 1920x1080
Field of view at -- 70
Anti Aliasing -- LOW
Ambient Occlusion -- OFF
600MB (ish) Ram usage reduction, by switching resolution scaling to 90%
All the rest of the custom settings are at medium (these are what I am tinkering with, to get less ram usage).
*For anyone with 8GB ram reading this, hope it helps 🙂

My game only stays up for a few mins, doubt tweaking settings is my issue. Also doubt that the next csr I get will have any useful information. Pretty * launch, not sure what I was expecting from EA. My fault for giving them money.
Did you remove the the BF folder C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\STAR WARS Battlefront II --- after you uninstalled? the uninstall doesn't remove it. You could try removing it, rebooting and running a repair?
Ugh my isp is d/c ing over and over, my responses might be delayed/staggerd
I have posted all the possible solutions I can think of, and what worked for me - only thing i can reccomend is staying on queue for support until it's resolved - and browse over all the stuff in https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/connection-troubleshooting-basic/ - some of it isn't just about connections, via some links
try search here, and the forums https://battlefront-forums.ea.com
I am going to have to get another ram stick, but can't afford it until next month so I will be playing litterally unpolished settings :P
Game did crash out no errors though when exiting campaign to main menu, this happened before too. But I was able to play okay.
