@VetteC5RXThere was a lot of positive media when they scrapped lootboxes and released all those free DLCs, so it's not like it was all without purspose or gain at all.
Pulling the game now is not only a bit too late but would look even more embarassing.
Pulling means essentially killing multiplayer support because that's the only way you can even enforce removing the game from the market effectively and without leaving potential new players with the feeling of being excluded.
Why destroying the casual fun of people like that? The previous damage is already done and there aren't even real options.
No new Battlefront is planned, the classics are dead and BF2015 is not a game I'd have fun returning to at all.
@TRlALON There was positive media after the loot pulls because EA did the micro transaction system wrong … that in NO way validated the quality of gameplay.
I completely disagree; let BF 2015 be the multiplayer platform and let BF 2 be the solo. At least BF 2015 is FAR more stable and quality of play is better and more consistent.
As gamers we’ve come to accept low quality gameplay far too much. All of the chances this game had to at least be descent.
There isn’t so much “casual fun” anymore! The honeymoon is over! More and more people are learning just how bad this game is and getting turned off. Read through Reddit threads on this game and it’s endless posts about this games problems that the Devs had plenty of time to address but chose not to.
The longer this game stays on the market the more embarrassing it is. It would at least be a start at acknowledging the mess they’ve created and left behind.
The consensus of the gaming community at large is that the gameplay value here isn’t worth still having it.

@VetteC5RXSo storming off with the tail between their legs would look better for EA? Who would really cheer them for doing that and act without any spite at all?
I doubt that would be many and even then, the voices of those who just got their game and money taken away would be louder.
Like congrats, those free updates released are completely vain now, why have you even bothered in the first place?
If people don't want to play the game anymore, no one stops them from doing so. If the future of the game are dead servers, then it's the playerbase's choice. The playerbase, not some youtubers or reddit lords.
Whether a game gets continued server support is not determined by the gameplay, so you can't really exclude that point about the positive media.
Even for that epic games even duration, it made people use another EA product. Just saying, I don't think EA would see this as a good idea at all.
In the end, we're talking about a very casual games series and BF2015 just isn't more hardcore or competitive at all for me.
"There’s zero doubt that BF 2015 is more balanced than BF 2. By FAR."
"haha I'm going to kill you with EE-4/TL-50/EE-3 and deny you any chances by using jetpack, roll exploits, bacta, shield and dmg increase/decrease trait. If I fail I'll come at you with the same stuff once again."Ever wondered why people found it highly annoying going against Iden and the aerial since ever?

@TRlALON Pulling the game wouldn’t be storming off it would be honestly admitting to the gaming community that they made a mistake. At least that would communicate that they have a concern over putting out poor quality.
leaving this game available in this state; pretending like nothing is wrong just screams “we make bad games and don’t care”.
how many of the thousands and thousands of people comparing about this game are really going to trust another EA title? Look at Squadrons; that hasn’t sold well at all, don’t you think that has a lot to do with the continued “bad taste” BF 2 has left? Sure it has.
The server status of this game isn’t because it’s so popular or so well loved it’s because EA still needs marketshare. Make no mistake, this is precisely why so many AI elements were added to the game; they knew players weren’t going to stick with it.
Look at a game like GTA 5; yes they’ve made mis steps, yes there are exploits, and yes they’ve got bugs but they made an effort to fix what they could and improve the gameplay and now 7 years later the game is still widely popular. The server status isn’t reflective of the popularity of the game or the quality of the game because there are other reasons why those servers can be left running.
EA has no hope of selling a successful SW title in the future, even if it’s good, because nobody has faith in them. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Battlefield 6 under perform. EA’s doesn’t exactly have a great reputation to rely on so anything they can do to communicate sincerity will go a long way market-share wise.

But here's the problem. Because that really wouldn't repair the damage and make anything better if that's the only action taken because this isn't just a Battlefront thing. Afterall, they keep sh*tting out Battlefield games so why would they come up with that. Their policy isn't keeping games alive support-wise like Rockstar does, their goal is to release another one every 2 - 4 years. If it went better for them moneywise we might've already a BF III and BF2015 would be played by even less people, such is the fate of older Battlefield titles too.
So unless they change their general policy it doesn't acheive anything to pull one game, no one's going to applaud them for doing that because no one is taking that serious.
Only thing that happens is that players who stick to the game get frustrated and feel pissed off by EA anyways.
If they'd do it like Rockstar let the devs keep improving and fixing the game, then there'd be no need to pull it either.
