Ubisoft are making a Starwars game and it's a open world game
I actually can't wait to see in when it eventually happens
Now a new BF3 game I would like to see with the best of 2015 and BF2 and more.
Will it happen, possibly.
Remember the exclusive licence end in 2023 and then I believe Disney/Lucas have opened it up for more competition with developers
Hopefully that will make all developers lift there game for the fans/Consumers.
@ToddyRocket1 Yeah the deal ends in 2023. The deal gave EA exclusive “development” rights to all SW game content.
This means that Disney / Lucas Games can “talk” about a future game but Disney likely can’t legally contract or commission any project officially until after the legal agreement with EA expires.
I’m very surprised anything was released this far out. One would think Disney / LG wouldn’t want any dirt with EA but if Disney had already made it clear to EA that they weren’t planning to renew the agreement they may have a mutual understanding and Disney / LG are taking very early steps.
Either way I’m thrilled to have the Ubisoft / Massive take over this project.
EA / DICE have shown they just don’t do this type of game very well, long term. I will give them credit that this game, mid-life, was good and that was its high point; before they muddled it up with the bad mechanics & logic it has now.
We probably won’t hear much more on the new project for a good while but at least we know it’s out there.
