I have to admit, I love this game but most any online (competitive) mode really isn’t playable anymore. Is it me, or are there players with skills registering new accounts to appear as new players? Can you find a game where at least two players aren’t “toxic?” I think after four years, I will limit play to co-op mode.
Honestly, the game brings little joy anymore - and is likely to soon be shelved forever in my home.

@imercier090172 I’ve seen a lot of this. There are a couple of things to note here
1.) there are a lot of video tutorials that promote toxic gameplay strats such as turning up input sensitivity overly high to turn buff Reys dash strike or the Finn glitch. Newer payers see this and lean on those mechanical exploits as good gameplay when it actually isn’t.
2.) the Devs never admitted to this but a number of us on here to tested the game after one of the latter updates noticed differences in class & character stats among players of different levels. We surmised that the tiered progression system was more than what was detailed in the patch notes.
at that time, on the other EA BF2 forums, newer players were upset that experienced players were beating them.
We questioned whether or not the tiered progression staggered character & class stats based on level as a way to smooth new players into the game but we never got a straight answer.
Nobody can say for sure whether or not this is a real thing but, logically though, there isn’t really any other reason why players would want to restart back to 1 and quite a number of us have been seeing that trend.
