@MasterPadwan77 The items you’re mentioning are not the result of recent updates; that’s false.
it IS true that the current, poorer, state of the BF 2 servers makes many of the pre-existing problems worse but the Devs didn’t release an update to weaken or nerf characters; in fact, some remain so brokenly imbalanced (such as Han), Luke, Rey, & Han are overpowered on their own. Leia & Chewie less so but not far behind. .. on the other side Vader, Iden, & Dooku are the OP imbalance leaders with Bosk & Boba not far behind. Those characters weren’t weakened.
The enforcers have been OP broken imbalanced for a long time now; even compared to heroes. That’s why so many players in the large game modes lean on enforcers over heroes to clutch; they’re just broken.
The matchmaking was never accurate and was only made worse. In my (and others) game testing we discovered what appeared to be a modified tiered progression that exists in the game to try and offset the matchmaking issues; the idea was to try and make it so that newer players would have more of a “chance”.
Imbalances have been around for a while now and we’re made worse with TROS update.
Server state makes existing bad mechanics behave worse. Especially in large scale game modes or in smaller game modes (like HvV) when you get a group in one big ‘ol mess of a fight; the inputs get messed up in the stack or the hit detection gets even more wonky.
You’re right that server state makes things worse but where you’re wrong is assuming the Devs applied some update or patch to the game itself. They didn’t. The last “patch” this game received was to nerf GG Claw Rush.
what you’re seeing are the shortfalls of the game development really coming to light because of the crap server state.
@VetteC5RXI whole heartely agree here...Also the TTK and TTD is terrible and inbalanced between factions. Weapons recoil was added to Republic, CIS, Empire and First Order, but somehow rebels and resistance are exempt from such recoil for sustained weapons fire before overheating. This means they have higher chances of killing you before you can take them out.
In Battlefront 2015 for example, your player can land a killer blow even with the assault rifles all the way to the blaster pistols if shooting the enemy at the temple or back of the head. In Battlefront 2, the TTD is so bad that headshots from your assault rifle takes like 2 to 3 shots to bring rebel or resistance units down, but an Imperial & First Order soldier goes down even with one shot. Inbalances are faction based and this throws the balance all over the place.
Also the healing abilities for heroes are extremely broken after the passive ability tweak which I was super opposed to. The bacta bomb should had solved this problem by adding 30% health to full healthal and 15% when below 100 health. Now sneaking hero can remain at 100% full health all the time by killing isolated units and running away which also creates another balance issue.
A little example today from Battlefront 2015...I was at a match of Supremacy mode in Sullust, and the team kept pushing and getting pushed back so the match extended for like 20 minutes, it was fun as hell and not frustrating. At one point the rebels brough a huge contingent (half of their soldiers total + the princess) to attack the objective where the thermal unit sits on top of a small artificial pond. We beat back their attack, and the princess end up running the opposite way. If this were to happen in Battlefront, Leia alone would had wiped out 3/4 of my team and the objective would had become nearly impossible to recover.
Things like this makes Battlefront 2015 had it's funand Star Wars moments, while in Battlefront 2 I'm constantly frustrated and angry over my team's decisions and inability to keep the battle under control.
