Good luck! I’ve posted multiple entries on these forums; sent messages to EA Starwars on social media, and messaged Ben Walke both publicly and privately about this very issue and got zero replies.
given that this wasn’t in any of the update notes and EA hasn’t acknowledged any of this as a known bug it leads me to “believe” that it was an intentional game mechanic change made to enable the Devs to pull in new players and allow them to level up on the backs of longer term players.
it seems more than just a coincidence that this was done with TROS update whereby the game Devs could capture some game sales with the release of the movie when the franchise is hyped.

Thank-you for your effort in making this issue more public. The more publicity we can shed on this, the better our chances for change and for a fairer game for all players.
If they haven't responded, then it looks like they may have something to hide and are currently trying to figure out how to respond to this.
Unorthodox tactics, just for a few sales. If they want more money, I know exactly what they could be doing, but I wouldn't want to disclose all of my ideas here, not without a gigantic pay check.
