Unable to play games with friends

Hello, A friend and myself have been trying to play BF2 together but are unable to invite one another to groups or join each other's games. When he invites me I accept and nothing happens and when I invite him he gets an error code. We can't join through the origin friend list either. is this a known issue?

    Hey @megatron162003 can you share that error message that your friend is seeing?

    The more info we have the better we can help and it sounds like a network or system issue.
