  • @Str8Killa420916Better get used to it. It won't be any different if you play the Battlefield series, just that there are no overkill gadgets that make unbalance even worse...

@Str8Killa420916 Like others have mentioned there is no real match making in this game .. let’s take a little dive into why that is.

The way the leveling system is in BF2 is segmented; you have an overall player level (capped at 50) and now you have “prestige” levels for classes and characters.

most players don’t level all of their characters consistently. How would the game matchmake. I have a lvl 670 Kylo, for example, but a level 11 Bosk because the way the Devs made him he’s not my play style so I never use him. How would the game match make that? You really can’t. The character levels aren’t always reflective of skill or play style; especially with Co-Op and all the bonus XP periods people farm level ups quickly.

then there’s the exploit factor. Just about every view farm YT video is a how to guide on how to crutch this games bad code via exploit. Even level 2 saber users lean on jump strikes and (what they think are parry’s but aren’t) to try and sweat the game.

between the haphazard level structure, exploitable mechanics, and imbalanced characters it would be impossible to try and put in any sort of legit matchmaking here. You’ve got better odds of winning the lottery.

  • @Ibmilo1  The Devs will never admit it but in my play testing I believe I’ve seen evidence that the tiered progression system includes more than what was released in the patch notes.

Because the Devs can’t properly match make the way they structured the game and because they tried to pull in a lot of new players toward the end it looks as though they tried to include conditions in the game that sees lower level characters and classes having slightly different attributes; scaling off as the levels increase.

I can’t prove that without decompiling the game which would be a feat seeing as they used Frostbite for this (another mistake).

a simple play test method that just about anyone can do is to use BB-8 against villains; keep track of how his damage application impacts opponents at different levels. BB-8’s cable spin executes automatically and against a villain that isn’t blocking (or can’t block) it’s very easy to see the rate of DoT ... compare the same villain characters you encounter that you notice are different levels and taken note of the DoT rate.
