Unlocked frame rate on loading screens causing CPU and GPU temps to spike
There is an intermittent bug with the loading screens, that I've seen most commonly when going back to the main menu of the game, that results in the engine uncapping the frame rate causing CPU and GPU temps to go through the roof. I haven't been able to find a way to recreate this though as it appears to be completely random at this point.
I've recorded frame rates of over 1400 per second during these times with a 100% load on both the CPU and GPU. The application putting the heavy resource draw on the system has been confirmed to be Battlefront II. My SSD activity isn't spiking beyond normal loading levels.
This is likely causing a lot of the PC shutdown and overheating issues I've seen online. I think the only reason mine didn't is that I have it loaded on an SSD so it was loaded before my temps could break the 100 C mark (They did get into the high 90s during this while they sit in the mid 70s during gameplay).
I'm running the newest NVidia drivers on my GTX 1080.
I've also confirmed this to happen both with and without VSync enabled (To see if it would carry over to the loading screens).
Any other information you need to diagnose this let me know.
