@Edairman198526 i think its EA mostly. Dice, from what i see really did put their star wars heart into this. decision making, like how much sources to dedicate to which service, just like when to pull the plug is solely EAs prerogative i think. and sadly for them "Star Wars" might as well be "Coca Cola", just a popular brand. those execs who make decisions will never visit these forums, probably know nothing about star wars, will never know that something is wrong with the game, unless there is uproar and a risk to the stock
ps. in terms of individual cheaters though, i must give credit where its due, they ban those who are reported. i reported several obvious cheaters, never seen any of them again. free epic givaway probably is to blame for these rejoining, those cheaters probably got hundreds of free accounts to waste during that. but what can they do? ban by ip? i dont think its done anywhere with paid products
They dont ban or block * - I have video of cheaters, reported them, blocked them and been thrown into another match with the same assclown a week later doing the same stuff...
and yes IP Bans for paid software are a thing - iRacing does it on the reg to people who dont follow the rules. Which is A-OK with me. Its refreshing that a company stands behind their product and wants to give people the best online experience possible. And if that means banning idiots and making a few mad, so be it.

hmm, i keep hearing people saying that, that they dont ban or block
my experience drastically different though. ive reported at least 10 people over a course of few months playing this game daily and never seen any of those again, even "subtle" cheaters who have like 200% damage increase, let along those who are one-shot or fly around the map. ive also never saw cheaters with high level accounts, so it kinda speaks to the fact that they dont live long? but maybe im just lucky, so i wont talk more on this off-topic, i almost start to feel that im defending cheaters or making it seem that everything is ok with the game, which is definitely not the case
(but i really hope we are talking about real cheaters, not just players that are good, since i see people constantly accusing good players of being cheats in the chat)
looking up iRacing, yep, its done, you right. i kinda doubt it would be done here though, since iRacing is a long ongoing project from 2008 with updates to this day, not something thats cut short as soon as its not making top cash, despite having millions of players and a ton of potential... you know
if it is done someday though, i dont think any honest player would have a problem with it, yeah. as long as players dont get accidenatly banned for cosmetic mods or on false reports

getting back to offline. recently tried battlefield 2042. can see where people complains come from, but that portal mode was really cool i felt. if they wouldve done something like this for battlefront, where it combines all maps and modes from 2 games, where you can customize sides, tick on or off reinforcements, heroes, vehicles, have map rotation, your own server with any modes, and available with customizable AI to just play with your buddies, or just by yourself, instead of cheating or toxic randoms, unbalanced teams, imba abusers, etc. i would honestly buy this "new" game. throw in a few new maps we never got like mustafar and utapau, and man... that would be a dream battlefront game to me. but seeing bf2042 failure they would probably assume portal mode was part of it as well and i really doubt they would go for something like this, afraid of repeating the experience
