Vader vs Grievous
IMO Grievous has surpassed Vader as the most OP Hero in the game, but does it mean he would beat Vader? Either way now 2 DS heroes can pave the way to a victory in HvV and that doesn’t seem balanced ...
You are talking about HvH only, right? Things can be much different on infantry mode.
Anyways, in all modes Grievous is more a hit and run lancer cavalry, while Vader resembles more a heavy roman legionnaire who can just face the enemy up front with all the damage he eats.
Thing is, if you don't let Vader come too close or don't play too offensive, you can run away or hold him off long enough until a team mate helps you, if help is needed.
Grievous on the other hand is hard to get off with his far lunge and the new claw rush mechanic can be really pesky once he's close to you.
Also noticeable how easily you can dispatch rocket troopers as Grievous, as his ability to lock on and harass targets is just superb.
So forget about running from Grievous and better fight back, which is harder against Vader again because of his extra health, damage and damage reduction from his star cards as well from his base abilities.
You can force Grievous ro retreat with suppressive blaster fire quite easily, which is easier done in infantry modes. Also in these modes forget about using Unrelenting Advance as stationary abilities are never really good there and blaster fire still gets through.
Vader is the best in close quarter encounters and choke points while Grievous is better off on open maps in infantry modes.
I still don't quite get why Grievous has an extra health regeneration card as well as plenty good dmg reduction cards, Vader an extra overall health and another good dmg reduction card while other heroes that deal far less damage against everyone like Maul and Yoda are punished with an outdated and rather ineffective star card deck.
