We cant play with friends - Bad squad system

@petazetas69 @EnmCrAzYKiLLeR Hi again, moving the post wasn't to lessen the prominence of the thread. Rather we just want to make sure the right kinds of discussions are in the right place, and in fact this board gets far more traffic than the bug board at this time. Keeping things structured in such a way helps with giving appropriate feedback to the studio.

There's a lot of great, constructive feedback in the thread, please keep it coming.

After playing for almost a week. I have to say this problem is the icing on the cake. I understand you don't want this game to be Battlefield 1 but come on that squad system works. I have 5 friends with the game and only once have we played on the same team.....Bring back squads for this game. I can handle on the other issues if I can at least play with people I know.

i have been playing those days and its a problem.
In galactic assault is a chaos, you cant play with your friends at all.

  The fact that EA moved this to the bug forum shows how little their community managers understand this game. This isn't a bug. It's a terrible design decision that ruins team play. Seriously fix this and I'll come back. But in the meantime, I'll just play Battlefront 2015 or Battlefield 4, because this is a terrible broken mess. If you want to play with friends, this is NOT the game to do that.

    I agree that there needs to be a new kind of squad spawn. Also, there needs to be an adjustment to the number of people allowed to team up. Xbox chat allows 10 people in the chat party but Battlefront II only allows 8 people to group up in a game party (same in Battlefront from 2015). This leaves 2 people out and they usually get kicked over to another server because they aren't part of the game party.
