The OP did however suggest adding further game modes. I would second that. GA is fun, and the perceived imbalance can of course be seen as a challenge. That said, the imbalance is more pronounced on certain maps than on others. Kamino for instance has becone virtually broken in a matter of days, as soon as defenders realized they can occupy the side corridors in the first stage. There's virtually no getting through to the target for the attacking droids. Similar chokepoints are present on other maps as well, leading to some very short matches, which is a shame. Now if that's the way this was intended, alright, but then it would be nice to have the option of seeing the map in the context of a different mode where the objectives are identical for both teams, as Supremacy was in BF1.
As for Heroes vs Villains, the problem is not so much the balance of light vs. dark side, but the incredible lack of strategy. It's a hot mess if both sides can and do go in with three lightsaber wielders each. That is what makes it imbalanced. The original HvV was near perfect, I don't really see why they felt the need to change the mode. Bring back troopers, go back to rounds (lower them to best of 3 if you feel rounds would last longer with regenerating heroes) and no hero respawns. Unless you're the target, there's really no downside to going on a "suicide run" with your character so long as you take the opposing target down with you. Not very interesting gameplay choice.
