Weapons not unlocking

You may just need to open the crate for the weapon. Go to Home then Unopened Crates in the bottom left-hand corner. This fixed the issue for me. Apparently, you can't unlock the weapon from the equip screen.

I have same problem....i just buying battlefront 2 on PS4 and i have 300 killed but I can't unlock any weapons.....* this game . I'm disappointed too much ☹️

This is sad no guns are unlocking for me and my specialist class is now level 40 and all I can use is the default sniper which is garbage. Super disappointed but I'm glad I found this page so I can stop wasting my time.  The fact that this has been a problem for two years makes me want to grab my pc and jump off EA headquarters. 

Looks like I'm canceling my flight apparently you have to open the stupid crates.
