Today (December 13) everyone should get a starter crate for each of the four trooper classes, each containing three "common" rarity cards. This was mentioned in the patch notes for today's patch. They did that because they decided to unlock for everyone all three card slots for each of the main trooper classes, and they wanted to make sure everyone had three cards to equip to each trooper class.
In addition to the four starter crates, I also received a "Resistance Crate". This is presumably because I am part of the light side faction of the Choose Your Side event. It does seem weird that the game doesn't show you anywhere which side is winning, or even which side won during a particular week. Screenshot of the crate's description attached.
Oddly, I did not receive a daily crate at first today. I launched the game again a few hours later, and a daily crate did then appear in my inventory, though.
Finn and Captain Phasma have been unlocked. Tallie Lintra's A-Wing is available but locked (Cost: 5000 Credits).
