What this new patch means to me.

@voodoolordz Hi, I understand you're upset but there isn't anything useful we can take from a post like this. Please give specifics that we can bring back to the studio. 

I can see an older post where you were having some PC stability issues, but I can see that you've played the game quite a bit since then. Are you having technical issues?

While I have no idea what exactly he means, I find it astonishing (in the worst way) how the bugfix section consists of three minor things, then you just throw in "misc. bug fixing". Man, the game is infested with bugs, and that's what you give, not even stating what it is. It is as if you said "some new heroes" when the TLJ patch came out.

Let me be specific. I tried to play beta and could never get it to load correctly. I pre ordered BF2 and it took 2 days to figure out that I needed to remove the BF2 file from my documents and run repair to get it to work. This is after thinking something was wrong with my PC, doing a clean install of Windows (losing all my other downloaded games) and downloading a 65 gig BF2 file at least 5 times each of which taking about 3 hours. Every other game I have runs fine, no issues what so ever. My pc every few days goes to blue screen repeatedly while playing and I have to delete the documents file and run a repair again. I had basically decided that was the price I had to pay to play this game and started to enjoy it until the headshot hacks came out. I put that out of my mind and just kept playing and started getting pretty good with my favorite character which is heavy trooper and Wookie. Then the new patch comes out and you guys nerfed the sentry gun to where it's basically unusable. This is after hours of grinding to get star cards and crafting points on this ridiculous loot box system. You guys took my favorite character and made it trash over night after all the * I had to go through just to get fairly decent at the game. We were all doing ok with the way the game was and you went and screwed it up again. Do you understand now?

Thank you, that is usable feedback. From what I've seen here and elsewhere the Overcharged Sentry nerf is, uh, controversial. 

As for the bluescreen issue, which file exactly are you removing? Nothing there should be leading to a bluescreen. 

It is a known fix for crash issues with this game. Delete the /user/username/documents/battlefront II file then repair the game through the Origin program. After the patch last night my characters keep walking to the right and never stop. This is new after my first post. I didn't even mention the lack of flight stick support because I have gotten used to the mouse but this * is adding up in a hurry. I played for a while before the walk bug showed up again and the sentry might as well be taken completely out of the game. I probably won't use it again because it takes almost as long to get it running as it does to use it. It has become a liability not an asset.

Specifically on the sentry issue you are completely vulnerable in SCS mode. There's not a game ever that I wasn't killed while in that mode in a game. The developers did a good job of making run around access to get behind enemies and they are used often and with great results. The point of the SCS is to hold the line and if it's 1/3 the time running what line is it holding? That coupled with reducing the AOE effect basically makes it a dud. This is coming from a real player who understands this game. Very disappointing and I hope you relay this to EA and Dice. 

On the crashing issue, the settings file wipe (that's what you're deleting in the documents file) is a known step alright. However this shouldn't be leading to a bluescreen, that's a much bigger issue than a game crash.

And yes we're reporting feedback on the Sentry change, you're certainly not the only one to bring it up. 

Thank you for forwarding the sentry issue, that really got under my skin after all the other problems I have had. By the way my PC specs are above and beyond the required minimums. 16 gigs of ram, Asus ROG motherboard, GTX770 video card and 2X2 terabyte drives. The blue screen crashes have been a mainstay since I tried to run beta and have continued through multiple windows installs and game installs. I have never seen a game so buggy in my life. It's a real shame because the graphics are amazing and it can be really fun but the micro managing of the game mechanics and the apparently lazy coding of the game / stability issues are ruining it. When a game ceases to be fun it is no longer a game and you guys are on the cusp of that in a big way.

Again I have many other games and no issues with any of them. Some are very taxing in the GPU and CPU but run fine. BF2 not so much.
