Imagine asking these developers to take care of their games with balances or even a current gen patch for consoles. Why is Fallen Order taking the icing of the cake when it comes to patching it for PS5? Why not do the same for Battlefront 2015, Battlefront 2, or Star Wars Squadrons?
Sadly, EA and DICE seem to think that the lootbox scandal meant that "nobody must like us or Star Wars, so we'll have the license revoked, and do the bare minimum with content, then jump ship to make a terrible battlefield 2042, and ignore basic logic and reasoning".
I've never been more frustrated than I am with BF2, as it's fun enough to keep playing even now, but frustrating due to how much stuff is missing or neglected.
It's not EA's fault. They released a great potential game. But games that last for many years need a financial return to continue investing. Without financial returns (either through loot boxes or DLC) there is no motivation to continue investing.
Maybe they should make it free then EA will actually care about it

Wanting current gen patch for Battlefront 2015, which no one plays for like 5 years now, is one of the funniest things I’ve read here.
I think the reason they probably don't update it is because everybody hated it at launch so they decided to cut all work on the game so they did not waste resources on something nobody liked, but now that people started warming up to it they are mad there is no updates. This is the most hypocritical thing to say after what everybody did.
it would've been great to at least have GA and other modes for offline at the current stage of the game... and considering online will only get worse without new content, hacks and bugs everywhere
but ive read somewhere that devs pretty much outright said they didnt do it because it would be almost impossible to make bots follow objectives for these modes
still, they could've implemented all the vehicles in instant action, as well not cut most of the maps in half with going as far to remove all the props like the automatic doors and npcs. big maps coulve been 5 stages, small 3. instead, they went most boring 4 stage copy-paste route for the modes which will be the sole ones still available to play pretty soon
and similar to co-op they could've just made 2-player required GA for opposite teams, filling the rest of the lobby with bots (they won't play objective sure, but at least GA won't disappear completely)
not to mention HvV, where bots can do everything required in IA already
just really weird decisions, i would've almost thought the game was abruptly cut short, but they said the vision is complete. so i guess just plain insanity was at play
