Why I think SWBF2 should get some attention towards small content updates

Subject: Please Give Star Wars Battlefront II Another Chance

Dear EA and DICE,

I’m a young Star Wars Battlefront II player, and I wanted to share some ideas that I think could help keep this game alive and bring more players back to it.

You guys created a generational game. Battlefront II has been around for almost a decade, and people are STILL coming back to play it. Even after all these years, players are still filling lobbies, grinding milestones, playing with friends, and asking for new content. That says a lot about the game you created.

I feel like the community has already shown that we’re not ready to let our favorite game die. People still care about Battlefront II, and I think there’s an opportunity here for EA to bring more attention to it while also making more money from the game.

I understand that making new content costs money and that your teams have other projects to work on. I’m not asking you to completely rebuild the game or release huge updates every month. Even SMALL content updates every once in a while could make a big difference.

For example, adding heros like Mace windu or qui gon would give players something new to look forward to. New skins, new community events, new challenges, bug fixes, and maybe even a new map once in a while could help keep the game fresh.

The gameplay is already great, but after playing for years, people can get tired of doing the same things over and over. Giving players new goals to work toward could encourage old players to return, bring new players in, and give the community more reasons to keep playing.

From a business perspective, I think EA could start small and see how the community responds before investing in bigger updates. You could collect player feedback, run community polls, and look at player activity to figure out which content people actually want. If the response is strong, that could help show whether investing more in the game makes sense financially.

I’m not saying I know everything about running a gaming company, but I do know what it’s like to be a player who genuinely loves a game and wants to see it get the attention it deserves.

Battlefront II has already proven that it can last for years. Imagine how much more potential it could have if players had new content to come back for.

I’m asking EA and DICE to please consider giving Battlefront II another chance, even if it’s just small updates to start. The community is still here, the game is still fun, and I believe there’s still an opportunity to make both the players and the company happy.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you consider listening to the community and giving this game another opportunity to grow.

  • The game only survives because of Kyber Mode and other mods—EA really gave the community a chance, which is cool. But it is sad for console players... The truth is, it would be great to support both games Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Battlefield series at the same time. The only shooter game we will be getting is a game from Epic Games
