1. I think it's alright that some abilties can one-hit at least non-heavies, more so since often an extra star card is needed to hit that breakpoint.
Else some abilties are quite useless or just ineffective. Lightsaber throws are such an example, needing to rely on a second hit just to kill a normal soldier just isn't great and reduces these abilites to something that's only really great when used with force chokes.
2. Blaster heroes can dodge while saber heroes have stamina limits though. I wonder how stun on blaster hit is supposed to work because that'd mean that it's the saber heroes who just get stunlocked, but from the distance. I doubt that dodging would help there much.
3. I think the passionate strike is crap, from my experience it's very easy to dodge it. In greater mode it's not particularly useful either unless you sneak up to a rocket trooper from behind while saving stamina. Another ability that works best only when used as a combo.
4. Yes.
5. Very unreliable and draining much stamina though.
6. Yes.
7. Yeah some are overtuned. It's generally a very fast-paced game though.
8. Yes.
9. On the other hand, Dooku is very predictable and won't be able to do much if you just don't allow him to until his ability timers wear off. His lack of great tactical abilities (cover space, lock on to someone, reach, escape, crowd control, stun etc.) also makes him a suicide choice in greater modes.
10. Yes
11. Yes, his base abilities and star card support are really busted.
Then there are heroes who don't even have good star cards. Like for Yoda and Maul, it's a no-brainer which 3 cards to chose because all other ones are either useless or work against them.
Btw is that small font size intended?

@TRlALON Aww, looks like someone needs some specs 🙂
But small size font was intended so post isn't too massive.
- 4 years ago@TRlALON The worst one in the list in my opinion is BB-9E, the stun every 4 seconds is way too frequent and SO annoying to go against.
About point 7, remember battlefront 2 2005. You couldn't keep relentlessly stunning someone with swings. No spamming 12+ attacks at once.
3 moves. Combo over, and you actually have to WAIT before you can swing again. If the saber heroes in BF2 2017 were like this it would be SO much better balanced. - 4 years ago
For me probably the most ridiculous thing in the game is the absurd amount of blocking, sabers literally block from the side and sometimes from behind, it’s never ending at times and has no penalty for being a bad player, spam rewards more so than not.
The 1st game you had to time and use block somewhat wisely, not so here. Also not to forget the saber lock, meaning is you spam fast enough you literally lock on as in aimbot, add saber stun and well, you get the idea. It’s mostly use force moves/stuns, wash, rinse, repeat. What made heroes so unbalanced in GA aside from 4 in the last phase is the health regen.
That, then the low 4000 bp that should be 7 or 8 imo, and the fact another just takes ones place when you kill one killed any type of balance, and that’s not counting the glitches. Balance makes things competitive which apparently not many bf2 fans wanted to begin with, they wanted more of a cod zombies game in a Mp shooter.
- 4 years ago@xProdicate They needed to massively nerf saber blocking. What's also stupid is that Vader, Obi-Wan, Kylo and Luke are the only saber heroes seen deflecting blaster fire in the star wars saga... the others don't know how to yet they got a blaster block. Seems about right.
