will not unlock weapon mods

StarWars Battlefront 2 will not allow me to equip the weapon mods which I have earned through in game playing.

I have contacting EA Help and they were not able to resolve the issue and suggested I post here so that a community manager can assist.

in multiplayer, I have unlocked the TL-50 under "Heavy" and I have completed the milestones to unlock the "improved cooling" mod, yet the game still shows it as locked, but has registered the milestone "TL-50 training session" as completed (which I have completed it)

before you suggest that I restart the game, please don't, I have tried that, and a plethora of other solutions from EA.Help.com and other places.
