YODA Abilities Combo for flight. Does this actually still work?

I am having considerable difficulty recreating the results of a few gamers who have posted online, to YouTube and Reddit, where they show YODA doing a dash ability followed by various combos after that which allow YODA to essentially travel through the air in varying distances, depending on the exact combos. Has anyone done this with any success? I am playing Battlefront 2 on a PS4. In the videos it shows the specific ability animation for each step but I can't get any of the abilities to work in this instance and there are no animations and I just fall to the ground. I am starting to suspect that EA has taken away the ability. Can anyone help me with this?
