It’s almost fascinating to see myself mentioned by I do not know how many people here only after saying that I will not come and post anything again. So hello again everybody.
Almost equally fascinating, @RogueZeroRendar says I say wrong things and get away from the subject. Let's try something: I admit that everything I said is wrong and that I was completely off topic.
And now what’s left? Who’s getting away from the subject?
This bug report ticket no longer has any reason to be because, if the author who says it himself is believed, it only deals with a problem which has been solved but which could still be improved for him. Apparently, still according to him, there are 2 ways to achieve the same result as before, the old way being simply simpler to do with a chain of action system which is no longer there. 3 unskilled ways to perform an action, but we could say the 2 new ones involve more risks (as there is no risk with the older one which was automatically chaining the dodge and the attack) and could be designated as “more skilled” than the older method if this wasn’t off topic.
The game works, but it does not work as some would like. This topic has become a chimerical weeping office, where everyone only complains of purely subjective things linked each time: either to a poor understanding of what it is interesting “to do or not to do” to win in a lightsaber combat with the current game state, or to simple preferences as if this game was a particular service dispensed for each player.
I find your request quite childish, there are not enough gameplay videos on the internet? From what I understand, there are severe hit detection issues on the abilities on Xbox, then I could understand your surprise if this is the console you are playing on. These problems are for their part real bugs that should be highlighted to help developers to solve them more easily. My upload speed doesn't allow me to upload as many gameplays as I would like, but if you really want to see spammers being outplayed by the counterattack technique, here is an example made by one of my teammates:
If they had more health and Vader more stamina, it would have been the same but they may have stopped attacking before their death as they would have more time to understand they were being countered. If you’re running out of stamina, instead of attacking after a block just dodge 2 times at this specific moment. Performing 2 dodges will allow you to avoid the auto-follow of lightsaber attacks. Then you can continue to dodge, if you have no dodge left you can jump in their direction, above them, it will allow you to avoid abilities and/or attacks, or use an ability, all of this in a way to manage your stamina recovery time. Then you can try again to counterattack them because these spammers won’t let you go. Some characters with strong stamina, stamina boost abilities, or stamina starcards can counterattack longer and don’t need to do this much recovery combos (like Vader, Dooku or Obi-wan for examples).
I'm a little confused. It seems that you identify the mechanics present in the game as bugs, there is incomprehension. Whether these mechanics are voluntary or not, they have been in the game for a very long time and they are perfectly controllable with training. Do not get lost in wanting to redo the game, as long as it is possible to anticipate something for sure and give it a name there is no bug. The name of what you designate as an attack and simultaneous parry bug is the counterattack technique: when someone strikes in your parade, hold down the parade button and attack immediately after the hit, without releasing the parade. You can see a pretty concrete example in the video that I linked above.
About the dodge that you often find little protective, you must surely be confronted with the destabilizing effect: when you are pareying and someone hits you on the side (at the edge of your parry) you will see your character destabilized, this effect also occurs when you’re parrying and try to dodge, you are hit in the tiny amount of time of the dodge channeling (can be something like 300ms). When this happens it just means that you dodge a little too late, dodging is more a tool of anticipation than of defense.
As I said above, the author of this bug ticket explains that the bug is resolved and that it is possible to find the same efficiency as before, but in 2 new ways. You can continue to dodge in the back.
This message will really be my last, I prefer to warn in advance that those who mention me will not have an answer. I prefer to spend more time taking news from my elders than writing on this forum these days.
May the Force be with you all.
@Bab0osh childish? Cos I ask for evidence of something far fetched? Get a grip. Also u showed me a video of a Vader (the most o.p character for HvV) and the enemy team wasn't spamming the way a well coordinated squad of team of 3 or 4 would that knew what they was doing. What u showed me can be easily done by any good Vader playing against 3 bad players at the game. Also it wasn't even yourself and u said u kill them all every time which I don't believe anyway. I watch and play HvV since launch and unless you're extremely lucky playing a tank character like Vader you'll almost certainly be spammed to death by any grouped team that knows what they're doing. At this point I don't believe anything u say and it's clear you're someone who thinks they know it all when I don't see anybody agreeing with u. I however see in this thread alone a lot of people who do disagree with u. Tells u some thing don't it. No need for u to reply, I won't believe anything u say anyway

@o_JA50N_o Agreed, Vader is incredibly OP; with his slower stam regen you have to be more thought oriented to use him.
i can and do often hold my own with Vader against multiple opponents, however, the mechanics for doing so, on Xbox at least, are very clumsy and poor.
it requires a lot of properly timed dodging to place enough distance between you and the mele squad to be able to get a good jump off so as to regen some stam ... problem is, at least on Xbox, this is quirky because even from a distance and at height the hit box will register a saber strike if you try to jump over your opponents. .. If you jump in any other direction to avoid a saber strike you risk an ability being used on you. So, in truth, the gameplay logic for how to contend with these situations on Xbox, is broken and inconsistent; it’s up to chance, no matter how properly you time yourself.
Matchmaking has been really odd; I find myself in HvV lobbies where I’m using characters of MUCH higher level and it shows in the gameplay experience base (or lack there of) of my opponents. It’s generally on HS that I find more experienced players.
As for surviving the mele train, if you can hold your attackers at bay long enough for your squad to reinforce you then you can regroup and go on the offensive but with the Xbox environment being so glitchy and inconsistent it’s anyone’s guess.
Have a look at the matchmaking example attached. This is a very common and consistent example of what I see every match. Whilst I know that character level isn't indicative of player level it IS a good indicator of gameplay exposure and experience; especially with all the Double XP & Triple XP periods. For reference, since it’s hard to see, my character level (in this case) was a 185 ... compared to everyone else.
