3% rank increase?! Really?!
I just played an entire match short 1 player on my team, and we still won! It was hard fought for sure. One more shift of morale and we were toast. I get that in this case a loss for us would be half...

I agree. The rank increase is miserable compared to a loss. It's like you have to win 4 to 5 times to equal 1 loss. Even if you non-deliberately get disconnected, your rank will be hammered badly for like 15%. The way I see it, if you're really at the rank you're supposed to, your win/loss rate should average out to 50-50. Makes sense right? But if you win 5 matches in a row, you're clearly better than your rank suggests.
So technically, a correct way to manage a ranking system is a loss equals a win. So only if you win 2 out of 3 matches, then you deserve a rank increase.
I really dont understand, you can only climb if you never lose. i get 3% per win. and most of the time im 4v5. but i get like 10% and more per lost even if some of my teamate leave.... like wtf?
I agree that if you have a 50% ratio in a rank mean you should be in that rank. not being drag down... first i dont know how team are being balanced. But i was hoping to rank higher to have more interesting game. But with a ranking system like this everyone is drag down really easily.
man i had like 9 win in placement( after reset) and now i struggle to win cause of leaver and bad player on my team that keep dying and not play as a team. its like. My only option to rank up is to play 5 premade.... and i suppose its gonna be easy cause i probably gonna end up against 5 random people.
Had a game today were our four player group (including one on their first fleet battle) forfeited a match after a player quit. I lost 10% ranking against a really strong team that we would have struggled to beat even if we had a 5th player. I can't believe this is half the loss we would have incurred. They really need to publish how the rating system works to make it more transparent
I just played 5 games. I won 4, and lost the last one. Well, I got 1% or rank increase in every one of the 4 wins, and 24% of rank loss in the final one.
Somebody explain this to me, please.
