The rank gain is dependent on your performance in the game, your score will increase the amount of rank you get. You could try to reset your rank and then play your 10 games again and see if you get placed in a higher tier. Once you get the tier you want keep it until the end of the operation to get your glory.

Its been working OK for me. Im now Hero-2. Your progression is highly dependemt on your win/loss ratio. I know its tough but i think thats the point. To be challenging. I would rather it be difficult and worth something, rather than everyok ebeing a galactic ace right away.- 5 years ago
I concur. There is basically no point in trying to rank up right now. If you get 3-4% for a win and 10% for a loss, even with an 80% winrate you're getting a netchange of +2% over 5 games. That's god awful and basically means you will never graduate beyond what you placed into by the end of the season.
I don't know how a game can launch with so many bugs and this many design issues. First most of us couldn't even gain rank, and now that we can it's virtually impossible to actually climb. My friends and I have about a 70% winrate with 1.6 KDAs and we're all stuck in hotshot.
This wouldn't be as much of an issue if they had an unranked fleet battles mode, but given that this is the only option for this mode it's incredibly demoralizing to be hit in the face with a whopping 3% at the end of a game where you were giving it your all, only to have all of your hard work invalidated if you lose a match ever.- 5 years ago
Been tracking my rank points over the last 24 games (see image).
I'm currently a Hero 1 and will need to play 363 more matches to make it to Valiant at this rate.
This is with a win ratio of 73.8% over the period with average gains (n = 19) of 9.61 points and average losses (n = 5) of 22.2 points...
