A-Wing being unbalanced?
Am I the only one who struggles up against A-Wings? I understand it's a ship that's supposed to require skill to operate, but at the moment you can put all pips into weapons and shields and have abs...
Just letting everyone know, yeah.. if you are up against an A-wing with a lvl 100+ pilot in the cockpit.. then most of the time, that pilot has the most kills and they are very frustrating.. yes.
But, you all know that just 1 seeker mine will blow up a fully shielded A-wing in 1 hit, yes? If they are only a fraction of a second too late to countermeasure, then they are toast.
That’s accurate. Speaking from experience, as one of those 130+ level pilots (5.0+ KD ratio in dog fights | Valiant FB ranking), there are only two scenarios that will most likely take me out during a dogfight: 1) well placed seeker mines and 2) tie interceptor pilots with a strong understanding of power converting. Additionally, the A-wing cockpit is easier to work with (in my opinion) vs. my experience when I’m piloting tie interceptors and tie fighters. It’s useful to have the added visibility. Lastly, if you come across one of these A-wing pilots with HOTAS, years of pc flight sim experience, and a VR headset, then that may make the situation even more challenging. Also speaking from experience since that’s my background and the hardware I use.

Same here. What folks don't understand is that we can still jump into an X-wing and win. The ONLY difference is that it isn't as much fun.
I told Ian from Motive that the answer isn't nerfing the A-wing, it's making the X-wing faster and stronger, with better turning. Hell, buff ALL the ships, to close the gap more.
Hobbling the best pilots isn't the answer, but rather, giving *all* pilots better tools to work with.

Definitely love and prefer the X-Wing, but I probably do perform better with the A-Wing
This is me.
To me, the A-wing is that weird Tallie ship from Starfighter Assault. A flying Mazda Miata.
It kills though, so that's what I'm stuck with.
