Look at that photo and tell me what you see. I ran an A Wing all game long, getting massive amounts of damage against capital ships the whole time.
I got more damage than the actual bombers on my team, but that’s not what got me such a high score.
I got the bare minimum amount of kills to get the top of the leaderboard, I just so happened to farm more kills so I got rewarded the most out of my team.
All this does is encourage people to farm, not play the objective. It creates a toxic environment for anyone who doesn’t play as a fighter or interceptor. Go take your git gud nonsense somewhere else.
This current system could have both support and bomber removed and you wouldn’t even miss out on wins.

The point is why have other classes if one class does it better than even the class dedicated to the specialist tasks? Why should I run a bomber if I can get top of the leaderboard against bots or otherwise? Why should I be healing with a support ship just to get bottom on the scoreboard and get less xp?
as of right now bomber and support are useless, because all you need to win is fighters and interceptors with the right class. I can go do another round against players and I’m willing to bet I’ll be higher on the scoreboard than a bomber or support but that’s not the point I’m making.
why run ion and proton bombs on a bomber and get constantly hounded by faster and better ships and then killed by the capital ship turrets when I can just zoom in, empty my payload, and zoom out all while being better equipped to take out other ships?
why waste a slot on ion rounds if I’ll end up handicapping my score by not focusing on DPS and kills? The system set in place punished anyone not running the fighter or interceptor class because everything else is just flat out worse.

let me spell it out for you, I run ion I run bomb I run healer I run resupply I no get high score I get bottom score
i run zoom zoom fast ship I farm bots I get top score I get high damage to big bad ship without using slow boom boom bomber
