@JNewb2 was there at the dawn of that golden era. X-Wing, Tie Fighter, (then the CD with enhanced audio), Balance of Power. Missed out on Alliance. I bought XvT, but never had the pleasure of hooking up with any online players.
This game is a loving throwback to that era. I am looking to refine my skills (only had a few hours in the game)... but got better once i plugged in the HOTAS i had in the closet for the last five years.
Once i think im a valuable player, i too would like to figure out the best way to find squad mates to play with.

I am loving the game so far and it does justice to the old xwing titles. The game pace is quicker than the older titles but requires tactics and its not easy to master which is a plus for me. Dog fights are the best, upgrades do provide different advantages.
I just hope that EA recognizes what this game is and represents for us fans and decides on providing the B Wing, the Tie Advanced and maybe an additional campaign in the near future.
