Anyone else mange to get a T-flight hotas X setup on pc for the game

Hey has anyone else managed to get the t-flight hotas x setup on PC. It is all messed up without remapping and remapping will not recognise the Throttle. I have checked on windows and calibrated the stick and the throttle is working. I was looking forward to reliving my youth playing tie fighter and x wing and do not really want to play on controller or shell out for a new hotas when this one by all accounts is working it just appears that the developers have not allowed for it.

  • Hey @stalker57

The T.Flight X is one of the HOTAS that was tested and confirmed to work with the game on PC. You can find more info on the supported devices over at the EA Help website

Have you double checked to make sure the firmware for the device in Windows is up to date?

  • Only USB device I have plugged in are Keyboard, Mouse, and the HOTAS. I replugged em both just to be safe, but still same.

I worked around it by reprogramming my joystick to switch axis 4 & 5. Too bad that it isn't set up to work by default or that there isn't a way to address this in game.

  • Well don't know if any of this helps but I have a T-Flight Hotas X and it has worked fine for me.

As stated above make sure the switch at the front is on PC not Playstation.

You can get the lastest driver and firmware update from the Thrustmaster website which also states Starwars Squadron as part of it's support.

Lastly I simply changed the setting for throttle control under remapping settings you make sure you select the tab on the right hand side stating Joystick . The T-Flight seems to be setup from the start to use the rudder controls behind the throttle stick as accelerate and deaccelerate. I remapped this to make it the throttle stick itself when clicking on the remap it says to press corresponding key in this case I just pushed up on the throttle stick to remap it to accelerate and so fourth. This also then leaves you free to use the rudder control as some other function if you so wish.

    Finally got mine to work.
    - make sure the switch is on PC and not PS3

    - download and install firmware and re download and install the firmware update.

    - restart pc with t flight x usb plugged in

    - start game

    - unplug usb flight stick if it’s not working and replug usb after 10 seconds.

    - press the home button on the throttle part of the stick so that it turns green.
    - if the home button is still red, unplug the usb again. Quit the game. Start the game, plug in usb and hit the home button again, it should be green.

  • If anyone comes across this: my problem was similar. It was the button on the back not set to PC. Check that the button is set to PC instead of PS3/Xbox.
