Are Imps Losing Badly to New Republic?

Hi guys, just wondering for players that have tried Multiplayer Dogfight PVP, are you having a good time as Imps?

I have lost more as Imps in Dogfight PVP than New Republic. My TIE Ceptor is hardly getting frags anymore against experienced New Republic Players. I am trying out the other Classes of Starfighters for Imps, but my team is usually full of players that try to be a hero against 3 or 4 New Republic Starfighters at one time instead of making a fallback and rally. I am not certain is it because of inexperienced players or balance currently that is making Imps lose more these past few days.

Just wondering what its like for other players PVP experience?

  • Okay, I had a few games just the last hour from this post. Still a lot of inexperienced Imps trying to be heroes with their Fighters and Ceptors. Had a good run with my X-wing.

    I dunno, still seems like rebels take way more successful bullet hits to make explode. Like waaayyy more.

  • @Reposter From day one i was playing as IMP. After60+ hours as IMP for last two days i go with NR. Its so much easier to play as NR that is incedible. A Wing is fast as devil on drugs, U Wing can take much more beating that TIE Reaper. I thing playing as IMP needs more practice and skill, specialy when You have bigA.. panel with displays is front of Your eyes. But my heart is still with Empire. Going back to my white Interceptor tomorrow.
  • I enjoy playing the imps and they are intensely fun and intense to play. Although I recommend playin imps for beginners , I enjoy the NR ships because of their oddity and interesting attributes.  I do believe the imps need more balancing work, I havent played them enough to roll out my opinion on what steps are needed in this rendition version point. I have been playing more lately and understand the balance concerns as of now, but they are well done if you understand they are for the more elite players that utalize the complete attributes of the systems. Actually, I should say I have not play the main tie model once yet. .. lo

  • As imperial I'm a straight up tie fighter player, i have in the past moaned about the rebels and there shields but since i have gotten better at power shunting and filling my lasers before a joust i have learned that tie fighter lasers will slice an x wing a wing open in seconds if fully charged. i find the other tie ships too quick to control or to soft in battle. Man i  LOVE this game. i really think there needs to be a free demo for playstation vr users, or push the game bit more. I still think this his the definitive VR experience,  This is the star wars franchise that we need need!!!! I really wan this game to be a call of duty slayer!

  • In most of the games I play they are. If you shift power around effectively, an xwing with assault shield and barrage rockets can carry the whole team and still win. Player skill seems to be the determining factor rather than craft choice. Probably just comes down to the matchmaking that causes blowout games, but sometimes it is a single experienced player.
