Hello.
I've fixed mine sound issue. I've just played a lot of games (about 10-13) during last hour without single sound glitch.
Didn't experience any sound disaperance at all. I hope this problem is gone for me.
My spec:
Mobo: 990FXA-UD7 (Realtek sound)
CPU: AMD FX-8120
GPU: 2*7970
OS: Win7 x64
My soultion:
I have installed manufacturer drivers for my sound chip instead of Microsoft's ones: http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Driver/mb_driver_audio_realtek_azalia-amd_w8.exe
It looks like it helped for me. No glitch since last hour.
I have installed latest windows 7 updates but their description seems to have no influnce on sound system.
I was never able to play that long. I've tried several game modes and tried switching Alt+Tab (it caused sound disaperance almost every time before). Really works stable for me.
