Apple has been warning that the Battlefront Companion app needs to be updated to be compatible with the new system software. Well that day has finally come with the release of iOS 14.5. The app will no longer launch. My hunch is that the actual updating needed is minor, probably to comply with the new operating system's privacy notifications. Can EA let us know whether this minor update will be made, and if so, when? Thanks! I still find the game within the app fun to play.
Yes, please help us! I've played hundreds of hours of Battlefront and Battlefront 2, and it's all because of the Battlefront Companion app that is available in the Apple App Store (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/star-wars-battlefront-companion/id1050725181). With the new iOS 14.5 version, however, I get the following error message when I try to open the Battlefront Companion app: "Battlefront needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of iOS."
It should be an easy fix based on what I've read online, as as other apps have quickly fixed this issue. Help us EA, you're our only hope!
