Turn off Enable Origin in Game in Origin's application settings. I have had the same problem with this game and the Battlefield 1 open beta and turning that off allowed both games to launch.

Community Admin@R3mm1cK Hi, I wonder if you can try restarting with a Clean Boot and see if that'll let you start with Origin In Game enabled?

Normally issues such as this are due to conflict with Origin In Game, and are often due to 3rd party overlays.
If you're happy to play without OIG that's fine too, it's up to you. 🙂
Hi mate, I'm happy to play without it to be honest. I find all of these in game options, including Steam and UPlay, offer no benefit to me really.
I'm just happy I got the games working again.
