This bull. Lost my entire game, hours into it. Just playing this now and ran into same bug.

It showed on my map so i explored. Thought it was a nice hidden treasure not game breaking glitch.

That they would have such a huge bug in the game and never fix after years says a lot about EA. Especially such an easy fix.
