Bought 2 copies, PSN & PC, tied to same account. Is crossplay possible?

I bought a copy for my son on playstation (which is tied to my EA account be default) and then bought myself a copy on Origin. I didn't realize that since these two copies are both tied to the same EA account that I would have difficulty joining him to play multiplayer. Is there any work around for this? I own 2 legitimate and different copies of the game on 2 platforms, but I'm not finding a solution.

Please help.

  • @r0b0ts Had the same issue. My son and I so show used the same EA account to sign up for online games. We never knew because I have Xbox and he has a PS4.

You have to chat with customer service and choose one (pc or ps4) to be removed from that profile. Bad part is...you lose all progress on all EA games linked to that name...on that system. I lost all my progress on BF4, Battlefronts 1&2, Battlefield 1943, 1, 5, a d Bad Company 2. I suck anyway, so not a big deal to me.
And my son was able to save all his.

We can now play together. This is THE only way to fix it. Believe me...I tried everything else and EA support corroborated.

We have 2 Xbox accounts linked to 1 EA account which gives Error 721 in Squadrons (no problem in Battlefield 5 or Titanfall 2 among others).

The advice that I got from a long call to EA help was to create a new Xbox account for one of us which is really bad because we would lose years of progression AND all purchases on that xbox account.

They have got to create a fix or a workaround because this sucks and many people have complained about this problem.

    cheers.

I did lose all progress on games, but I didn't lose any of my xbox purchases.
