Have you tried going into you TV or monitor settings and lowering your brightness there to see if it helps?

@EA_DarkoI have and I have also turned down the blue color on my monitor and it has helped some. That said white flashes in games have been known to cause problems with some people, epileptics for example.
I wanted to put a bug in someones ear about having an option to turn such screen effects off. It would help me enjoy the game much better. To put it candidly, pain isn't fun.
