Can't change Cere's lightsaber switch? (spoilers)

Hello before anything, as the title says this will contain spoilers so be aware. As you progress through the story you will reach a point where you have to repair your lightsaber using Cere's saber ...

Yes I do agree. I've seen some really great lightsaber builds go around, but Cere's switch is just sticking out.

Maybe they should allow us to change it after completion of the main story?

    Or you just view it as a reminder of where Cal's badass lightsaber came from... I don't mind it.
