Cant complete mission, Lambda Shuttles committing suicide.

What happens when the bug occurs? The lambda shuttles that I need to protect blows up without any reason. Rebel spies inside the shuttles maybe? Then How I am supposed to finish the mission?
What do you expect to see? The shuttles blowing up under fire or any other reasonable game mechanic. Not on their own.

Trying to complete this mission without dying, this always happens when the shuttles have completed their boarding operation: They blow up. Without any rebel ships near by.
