Can't Find VR Mode

I cannot find the setting in the game to make it VR. Do I need to connect a headset before I try and find the VR settings? The option does not appear in the Graphics settings.

If you start Steam VR and then start Squadrons does that help? @boundles

maybe i need to own the game on steam in order to start SteamVR. starting the game from origin doesn't help

    No, you should be able to play it in VR from my own experience by starting steam VR and then you start the game on Origin. My index picks up the game at that point. @boundles
