Got this error today and was able to find a fix.
-Close Origin
-Windows + Tab + X
-Click "Computer Management"
-In the Left pane click "Services and Applications"
-In the middle pane double click "Services"
-Scroll down to "Origin Client Service" and double click it
-Under the "General tab" change the "Startup type" drop-down menu to "Disabled"
-Relaunch Origin - Download your games!
