CLOCK WATCHING TIMEOUT BSOD

I'm getting a CLOCK_WATCHING_TIMEOUT BSOD when playing this game.  It never happened when I played it back in Dec 2015 - Apr 2016 time frame, and this is the only game on my PC that I get this error with.

The game will crash with a BSOD or just completely lockup at least every 1-2 hours of play.  Sometimes it happens during gameplay, but a lot of the time it happens during menus or while in the lobby.

I'm using Win 10 Home 64 Bit, all updates are current, GTX 980 drivers are up to date as well.

Are there any suggestions for fixing or getting around this?

Thanks to anyone who responds.

Note:  After doing tech support with Digital Storm, we've determined it's an issue with Origin itself.

In order to reinstall it, would you have to uninstall Battlefront first and then reinstall Origin?  Or can you just uninstall Origin and leave BF alone?

Reinstall did not work - issue continues.

EA, I hope you are investigating this - this is the only modern game I have this problem with.  I'm frustrated to the point of uninstalling and never playing again.

    Hi fjk1138

This error you have there is CPU or BIOS related. And this is very odd. Do you have the same problem with any other heavy-on-graphic games? You might want to try running the game in the lowest resolution possible and with the lowest graphic details level, just to see if it will make any difference.

    Cheers,

    Archi
