Combat Gauntlet

I have read that some people got the chance to try out the game's combat in a wave based mode at the E3.
Will we get something similar mod in the finished product? Like how some GOW games have arena and Batman Arkham games have challenges. It would be cool just to sit down to play for 5 minutes and enjoy being a Jedi. Would also give longevity to the game, as people can pushing for high scores and no hit runs.
